| Description of the problem | Strong odor of fuel/gasoline vapor inside and outside the car usually occurs for up to 48 hours after refueling of the vehicle especially noticeable after sitting in enclosed space (garage) overnight. Have found leakage results raw fuel pooling and/or spraying on vehicle underside of the seat cushion. Research points me march, 2008 emissions recall conducted by mercedes benz (emissions recall campaign # 2008-020001) which involved potential cracking of the fuel filter module in vehicles exposed to high ambient temperatures. |
